I can see her
light bright amidst shadow.
Tink clad all in black.
I made a world, unbidden,
for us both.
Here in my sooty corner
hiding in plain sight.
Constructing realities within my mind.
Beyond the noise and faces
and the smell of alcohol.
Beyond
The crass insistence of the world.
All intrusions of sound judgement
and proper station.
Ageless and alone.
I'd catch you up in a mason jar.
Sweep you from this place
make you teach
me
to fly.
